Barnet Refugee Service is pleased to announce the adoption of our new working name
New Citizens’s Gateway
Still operating from Barnet, we will be supporting refugees and asylum seekers across the broader
geography of England and Wales.
This new working name reflects our continued vision of supporting the integration of refugees into
UK life and culture as equal members of our society and helping make the asylum process a more
humane and fair one for asylum seekers.
Barnet Refugee Service is now New Citizens’ Gateway
We provide support to refugees and asylum seekers across the broader geography of England and Wales.
Our working name reflects our continued vision of supporting the integration of refugees into UK life and culture as equal members of our society and helping make the asylum process a more humane for refugees and asylum seekers.
We are proud to say that New Citizen Gateway has won a major national award for its work to support the physical and mental wellbeing and welfare of asylum seekers and refugees in London and beyond.
We have been chosen from more than 400 charities across the UK as one of the 10 winners of the 2023 GSK IMPACT Award which is delivered in partnership with leading health and care charity The King’s Fund.
The awards are a mark of excellence (innovation, management, partnership, achievement, community focus, targeting needs) in the charity sector to recognise the outstanding work of small and medium-sized charities working to improve people’s
health and well-being in the UK.
This is an opportunity to thank all our staff, volunteers, donors, and funders for believing in us and supporting us to become a viable organisation supporting the most vulnerable members of society.
