New Citizens' Gateway is excited to announce the launch of our new book, Where the Moon Still Watches: 30 Stories of Migration and Refuge from New Citizens' Gateway.

Following a series of creative writing workshops and drawing on the NCG archives of accounts from former clients and staff, we have brought together a unique collection of first-hand narratives about the journeys of refugees and migrants.

‘Where the Moon Still Watches' is a collection of short stories from refugees and migrants in London, originating from Afghanistan, Burundi, Eritrea, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Sudan, Syria and beyond. Through wit, courage and heartfelt honesty, these voices reveal why they fled their homes, the dangers they faced along the way, and the lessons they carry with them today. Human, compelling and unforgettable, these stories allow readers to see migration through the eyes of those who lived it – with the Moon as their witness.
