I have been practising General Practitioner in Barnet since 1999 starting off in Burnt Oak before moving to West Finchley. As a GP working with patients from abroad, I became interested in the health and care needs of refugees and asylum seekers – this was a motivation for engaging with the
New Citizens’ Gateway. I have a longstanding interest in the development of people and am
involved in educating future doctors across London. I decided to join NCG after reaching a
chronological milestone with a desire to give something back to the community I have worked and
lived in for a significant proportion of time. I have been supporting NCG as a trustee since 2019.
